Sparkling >> Deutschland

The germans are world champion in drinking sparkling wines, calculated on the yearly per capita consumption. This includes everything from Cava, Prosecco and sparkling of all sorts to Crémant and Champagne.

And in Germany there is quite a large production of sparklig wines. The bottle fermented sparklers are most common method for high quality products, called 'klassische Flaschengärung'. They are somtimes called Crémant aswell but is not a very commun name for german sparkling wines.
