France >> Jura
The Jura vineyards are located in the north-east of and are caracterized by a continental climate. Changeable summers with many warm days nonetheless and quite different grape varieties usually bring a long harvest time which sometimes extends into the month of November.
The white wines are made from Chardonnay and Savagnin, the red wines from Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir.
In addition to these wines, often produced as varietal wines or crémants, there are two specialties in the Jura: Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille.
